A Lesson in Life that I learned from Lord Buddha:

When Lord Buddha discussed ‘desire’ he said,”it’s fine to desire abundance. But it is all the more important ‘to be in the moment and live in a state of reality.”

How can we interpret it in today’s life?

Let me take an example of a nice house.

It is one thing to look at a nice house and want it, then develop strategies for actually getting it and then going ahead to implement those strategies.

It’s totally another thing to look at a nice house and want it, and then wishing to own that house, then feeling bad because you don’t have it. This makes you think about things you might have done in the past that would lead you having your dream home now, or you go into imagining fantasies that might lead you to have it in the future.

Here one can replace with you desire.

The second option can lead to grief, regret and useless desire. This is a distraction that can keep you from leading a happy life, and from doing those things that will lead to a happy life.

Do the strategies and you’ll feel better, and you’ll get a lot more done.
